Reviewing a session

Read what an agent changed, run the app it built, browse and edit files, use a terminal in the session's folder, and open the pages and diagrams the agent shows.

The panel on the right of a session is where you check the work. Each tab is called a canvas. Choose the + button on the tab bar (Open a canvas) to open one. The panel has Context, Progress, Changes, Files, Turns and Agents, and a Browser… entry.

Changes lists every file the session changed, with lines added and removed. A line above the list says what it compares with.

  • Compared with a branch name means the changes since the session’s branch left that branch, committed or not.
  • Since this session started means the folder isn’t on a branch of its own, so Fleet compares it with how it was at the start.

Choose a file to open its diff. One click opens a preview tab that the next file replaces. Double-click to keep it open.

In an open file or a diagram you can select text and add an annotation. Choose Send and the note goes to the agent along with the text you picked, so you can ask about one spot.

Files shows the session’s folder as a tree. It has a search box and a refresh button. Open a file to read it in a code editor. You can edit it and choose Save, or press Ctrl S. Fleet marks a file Unsaved until you save.

Press Ctrl P (⌘P on a Mac) to jump to a file by name. In an open file, Compare shows its diff against the last commit.

Browser shows a web page next to the chat. Choose +, then Browser…, and type one of two things in Command or address:

  • A command such as npm run dev. Fleet runs it in the session’s folder, finds the page it serves and shows it. Stop, Restart and Output sit in the tab’s toolbar. Commands you used before are suggested.
  • An address, such as localhost:5173.

The toggle at the top switches between Your view, the page in your browser, and Agent’s view, a live picture of the agent’s own tab. The agent can use its own browser when you have turned that on under Settings → Browser and the harness supports it. See What works where. While the agent is trying a page, what it types and clicks doesn’t show in your view.

Archiving a session stops the apps it started.

Press Ctrl J (⌘J on a Mac) to open a terminal in the session’s folder. Use the New terminal button for more shells, each in its own tab. Hide terminal closes the drawer but the shells keep running. Close on a tab ends that shell. Drag the top edge to resize it.

An agent can draw a page or a diagram for you, and it opens as a tab beside the chat. A diagram is a flow or a sequence. A page is a small web page, such as a mockup or a report. Each time the agent shows the page again, the tab reloads with the new version.

A page runs in a sandbox. It can’t reach your files or Fleet’s data. It can put text in your message box, which you then send yourself. If an agent asks you to pick on a page, a bar under it shows your choice and lets you send or skip it. That needs Choose on a page turned on under Settings → Features.

Pages and diagrams need a harness that supports them. What works where lists which.
