Keyboard shortcuts

Every default keyboard shortcut in Fleet, for navigation, sessions and the view, and how Cmd on a Mac becomes Ctrl on Windows and Linux.

Fleet’s shortcuts use one main modifier key. On a Mac it is Cmd. On Windows and Linux it is Ctrl. The tables below write it as Mod, so Mod+K is Cmd+K on a Mac and Ctrl+K elsewhere.

Fleet decides by your platform: Mac, iPhone and iPad use Cmd, everything else uses Ctrl.

Mod+K opens the command palette. Press it again to close. It works while you are typing in the composer. Type to search for any command, including the ones below that have no shortcut.

Action Shortcut
Next session Mod+]
Previous session Mod+[

Go to Sessions and Go to Settings are in the palette, but have no shortcut.

Action Shortcut
New session Mod+N
Go to file… Mod+P
Interrupt session Esc
Toggle inline tool diffs (Hide inline tool diffs / Show inline tool diffs) Mod+D
Open or fold the /btw side conversation Mod+/

Go to file… searches the files of the open session, and also works while you type in the composer. Interrupt session needs a session open.

In the composer, Mod+Enter is the other choice to Enter while the agent works. See Steer, queue and fork.

Action Shortcut
Hide or show the sidebar Mod+B
Hide or show the right panel Mod+Shift+B
Show or hide the terminal Mod+J
Cycle theme Mod+T
Zoom in Mod+=
Zoom out Mod+-

The terminal shortcut works when Fleet has terminals turned on and a session is open.

When the terminal has focus, keys go to your shell, so shell keys such as Ctrl+C and Esc work as usual. Fleet only keeps its own pass-through shortcuts. Off a Mac, Ctrl+Shift+C copies the selection and Ctrl+Shift+V pastes.
